The item: a 42 cm (16 1/2 ") tall and slender champagne flute, standing on an inverted trumpet base with a short spiral stem and knop in very thin, clear glass. I am not sure if it is sodalime or borosilicate. The item is impossible to photograph, but it has a mark screened onto the foot.
Can anyone identify the mark?

Looks like it could be VID.
Lots of corporates have their canteen/catering glass and crockery marked these days, presumably to reduce pilfering but I always saw it as an attraction >:D no doubt others too. Used to have some nice ABN Amro glasses :-X

curious canteen, Frank.

Mega indeed :D delightful piece, is it lampwork? Seems odd that the mark is screen printed.

I think it is lampwork, yes.

Maybe a vase rather than a flute?
