Title: Rust pitted marbles

I bought about 20 marbles today, mostly (to my untrained eye) vintage handmade.  They've mostly all suffered rust damage, which has ingrained into the glass...especially where there's pitting.

Is there anything I can try that might remove the rust without affecting the glass?  Otherwise, I'll leap in with a Brillo pad...lol...not sure that's really the thing to use!   :lol:

Sorry, Max, no implication intended.   I was just thinking back to my M-i-L days, bless their little cotton socks, when we had to go round the house collecting up anything they could use to destroy our home and its contents, and lock them all away, before either arrived.

And I got it wrong.   There are some wonderful M-i-L horror stories involving Countdown teapots, so please add them to the other two.  :lol:

What curious M-i-L stories!  Mine are quite mundane...but you can't beat a nice eccentric older lady though, even if I say so myself.  :wink:  :lol:

Of course you can beat a nice eccentric older lady, though they may scream a bit...heh heh heh!!!!
