But could not resist it , from Fieldings yesterday, and with a small chip which made it much more affordable to add to my small cameo glass collection . ;D
Cheers ,

Gorgeous! I was up at Broadfield House last week and just seeing the cameo collection was breathtaking. Such amazing work goes into these pieces.

I am going to sit in a dark room now and sulk! did the Andromeda plate sell?
-
HI ,
yes it did , £20k hammer.
Peter.
-
Damn, just £19,980 more than I had hoped to get it for ::)
-
quote...................."yes it did , £20k hammer". So the buyer probably had to pay another £2500 - £3000 commission on top :o.....no wonder you don't see any down-at-heel acutioneers.
But like your plate Peter, very nice.

HI ,
Fielding are one of the more reasonable chargers , 17 1/2 % + VAT , 21% all in so £24,200 all in ,in a London saleroom at £20k hammer it would have cost £26k all in , still nice work if you can get it lol
cheers ,
Peter.
