Title: Art Deco pink amber dish with ladies
Post by: oyemicanto on May 12, 2013, 04:03:27 PM
Hello
Purchased this lovely dish today from a local fair. The colour is really strange is a mix between pink and amber.
When I took pic with camera it looked green so I tested it with UV and its full of uranium!!!!
It shows 2 ladies in relief.
Has anyone any idea about it please?
Thanks all
Nige

Hi Nigel,

This is by S. Reich. I used to have a jade example but it's now with Pamela: http://pressglas-pavillon.de/toilettenservice/06358.html

Never seen that colour before from them, but it looks fantastic  ;)

Edited to add: There's another piece in this colouring shown on Pamela's site here: http://pressglas-pavillon.de/tafelaufsaetze/09700.html

Hi Steven
I always forget about looking on Pamelas site!
I wondered if it was a good maker as the quality looks rather good.
And that other dish in the picture I never knew was Reich and I bought it in blue a few weeks ago at Newark so thanks for solving another mystery!
Your input is always appreciated Steven.
