Title: Help with maker info
Post by: jules on August 28, 2011, 02:04:12 PM
Can anyone help me with a maker identification. I bought a red bubbled paperweight
with ' WEbly England' on the base, but I can't find any info on the maker. WEbly is how it is etched on the base, with two capitals at the beginning. I have googled the name and all I get is either Wembley or Webley rifles.
Thanks in anticipation

I didn't know Webb did paperweights! Can we see pics of both of them please? Jules, we can help with image resizing, feel free to email me copies on images you can't get small enough and tell me which topic they relate to and I'll add them in for you.

I think most of the Thomas Webb weights are like the inner part of Keith's - i.e. just a plain bubble weight without the extra gather and fancy cutting.

3 inches high,4 across, not so big but very heavy and feels as hard as steel :o
