Title: need help- black glass & iridized vase w/candleholders?
Post by: maryanntique on April 26, 2007, 05:46:38 PM
Hi everyone. I am desperately trying to find out the makers of a few pieces of glass I have and am hoping someone can help.
1 is two matching black glass items 1/2 egg shaped -I believe they are candleholders, I have not ben able to find anything similar they appear to be mid century though I can not find glassmakers who were making this type of black glass then.

Mod: Photo's changed to links

the second item is art nouveau --it is an iridized vase with a candelabra attached to it; again I have not seen anything similar and was wondering if someone could tell me the maker or if they've seen anything similar.
There appears to be a bubble in the glass which I tried to capture in the photo.

thanks so much

Hi Mary - I've changed your photo's images to links so that more people have a chance of seeing them.  Big photo's, or several photo's on a page can make it slow to load for some folk unfortunately.   :)

Hi Mary,
I've no idea who made either piece, but I believe that the blue is opalescent, not iridized?
Cheers!
