Title: Orrefors Ingeborg Lundin Cut Vase
Post by: ckscot on September 22, 2009, 10:21:01 PM
I came across this signed vase (from Ivo's book the D= Ingeborg Lundin) at the antique fair in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago and as it looked like a bargain I couldn't resist.   Never having seen one in the flesh before I have started  to wonder about its rim.  Can someone reassure me that is meant to have that slight wave effect around its rim, and that it isn't the result of a repair. It would be a very good repair if it were, as there isn't really any sign of anything untoward, but I thought I'd ask.
I know members don't really give valuations, but if anyone could lob a ballpark figure my way I'd appreciate that too.  I'm in two minds about whether to keep it or try to sell it on.
Thanks, Iain

In reviewing an Orrefors catalog, the image appears to have a slight wave effect on the rim.

The form appears in the 1960 catalogue and was made in four sizes - diameters.
