I have a pair of small mould made glass in a very vivid green that is very Emerald in shade, the are 10.5 cm high and five cm across the base with diamond cut pattern also on the base. The colour looks Czech to me ,but i have been wrong so many times, thanks for looking Lynn
-
Sorry i should have added that the vases are quite heavy for their size.. ::)
-
  Pretty!! Nice color
-
Hi Rose, yes they are pretty,i haven't seen this shade of green in this collection until i unwrapped these i love them but i cant keep everything in a small welsh cottage!!! sadly
-
Are there any kind of ID marks?
-
No id but just a good weight for small vases and a really emerald green colour that i have rarely seen
-
this is the down side of collecting unmarked pressed glass - pieces can often remain a mystery - however the fact that you like the colour is important :) - deep green is one of my favourite colours. I take it that you have trawled Pamela's Masterbuch site?? - it can take a while - but something to while away the cold dark winter nights in a Welsh cottage as there may not be much else to do ;)

Hi Paul, thanks for the search tip,i have had a few hours on the site so far and if i was keeping them i think i would have looked further but i think they maybe 30s 40s ish..but i did ID another piece in the encyclopaedia ! so am very pleased..Lynn

well done Lynn - time not wasted then :)
-
Lynn, are they the same as this labelled one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220867284903 carrying what appears to be a Bohemia Glass label.
-
Hi Anne, yes they are the same that's a great help.
-
Yay! then we can say sorted! :)
-
Repetition of the body design in the foot reminds me of.... http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,42804 the conicidence with the RIM SHAPE is too much coincidence... has to be same designer... gut instinct.
Hah, getting closer and back to original belief they are Czech not Walther.
-
Thanks for the input Frank, and yes the base and rim are spot on to the link you sent so i'm still in the Czech area, any ideas on designer...Lynn

None at all, I will need to go through the Newhall database again, this time looking for the design features not the shapes!
