Title: Glass Making in 18th Century Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Post by: thorp21 on November 23, 2011, 12:08:51 PM
I am researching early glass making at Silkstone and Gawber in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and am familiar with Denis Ashurst's history of South Yorkshire Glass.  Does anyone have any glass objects (bottles, drinking glasses, other) that they think were made at Silkstone (1650-1700s) or Gawber 1700's to 1821)?

Welcome to the board. What an interesting area of study, nothing of mine goes back anything like that far but someone here may be able to help. Please stick around and see what comes out. :)
