Title: Orange and uranium space age bowl
Post by: Lustrousstone on March 20, 2010, 08:47:04 PM
This has to be Murano doesn't it. Can't find in any of my books, so does anyone know who might have made/designed it.

(No Craig you borrow it to see if it fits on your coffee table, even if it does match the other bits  :P)

It's 14 cm across, 8 cm tall and 3.25 cm thick. It weighs 1.7 kg. outer clear, middle layer uranium, inner orange.

I would say definitely Murano....  I do not know who though. It is a very interesting design... I really like the look of it, especially from above...... I have not see that before....  very unique and a great find....

Craig

(You read my mind, about putting it on the coffee table that is....   ;D  It would go nicely with the grouping though...  )

The color combination and uranium remind me of some of the things done at Galliano Ferro. Others probably worked with similar colors, but GF may be a good place to start a search. I had one thing by the short-lived company Aldo Bon that had a similar combination. Aldo worked with Galliano Ferro for a while after Aldo left Aureliano Toso, so there may be a tie-in there. (All these names are making me dizzy reading them.)
