I am a volunteer selling on Ebay for a charity - I need help identifying this object so that I can give it a good description when I list it. I think it might be Czech or Bohemian glass, but would like to be sure. It stands approx. 8 ins (20cm) tall to the tip of the points, and stands on a very small, square base. The glass is thick and heavy. The colour is gold shading upwards to pink - the base is clear - I think it is cased. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Almost certainly Chribska, a Czech factory.

Hi kmax70,
I agree with Christine. I would describe it as Czech/Bohemian,but age wise, it could be 1960s-2010
Its not a rare item, although quite a task to make, but at a guess 20-30 pounds would be all
you could expect (unlees you get lucky)
Cheers
Andy

more than likely a Josef Hospodka piece for chribska glassworks czech (similar in stlye to the "cats head" piece in Mark Hills book, is this shape called the "bulls head"?), there is a few listed on ebay currently including the one in the link
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SKLO-UNION-CHRIBSKA-GLASS-VASE-JOSEF-HOSPODKA_W0QQitemZ370311798061QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Art_Glass?hash=item56384d9d2d
although its not a Union piece, so the title/description is slightly incorrect calling it sklo Union

Many thanks for your help on this, Michelle and Andy. I'll go with that description. It is a very chunky object - I assume it is meant to be a vase, or just a "whatnot". Kathleen
