Hello everyone
I received this lamp today made by Mckee glass USA.
Has anyone ever noticed it is very similar in style to the Sabino lamp which I think is called Suzanne?
Any input would be greatly received.

Your pics don't enlarge enough to see the moulded detail and is there one of the back? do they differ on the reverse side?

Nor do they show lamp... is that silvery thing a lamp holder stem or just something in the background... as it does not appear in other shot.... is it lit from base, or also from base.
Piece to lust for regardless - both in glassy and pervy sense 8)
go for at least 600 pixels please as board has grown up and allows quite large pics now... my old eyes need BIG :o

if it wont load at 600 then drop to the largest size being 585 and you should be ok - it would just allow for being able to see the detail. It's hard to make comparisons without.
Frank, my pics wont load at 600 as they end up being 135/40 KB instead of 125KB

Sounds like you need a Save for Web option... should be much smaller 20k-40k so I exp[ect your pics still contain all the meta data that JPEGs store like... Taken at F5.7184 fo 1/724th of a second on a GMB Ultra F7 with w/a 22mm lens on a sunny day with typical English clouds - Oh dear time for bed :P

McKee's figure resembles Lalique's Suzanne, however there are two types of Danse de Lumiere, the one you have with the figure mounted on a metal base & the more traditional type that has a glass base (pic of mone below). Yours seems to have had a goosenecked pipe overhead fixture as well as a lighted base & looks as if someone cut the pipe. There was one like yours (same color) on eBay recently with the gooseneck fixture relatively intact but the glass where it mounted in the base was broken & missing in one corner of the base semi-circle which was too bad.

Will try and load bigger pics this evening as dashing to work.I tried putting bigger but it kept saying file to large.
Yes there is a light fitting at the back as well as one in the base.The pipe at the back does have a screw on light fitting which I have unscrewed for now till I rewire it.
Ohio I do like the the one you show in the photo and its a lovely amber colour!
I wonder why the Sabino is similar to this one?

Nige I do know that McKee's nude was supposedly influenced by Lalique's Suzanne although Sabino did make not only the single nude, but also a double nude lamp called La Danse so who really knows? I think it was SOP in the 30s for some manufacturers to copy one another if there wasn't a patent or register number issued so just about anything went. Ken.
