Hello all, Please can anyone help me to identify a piece of glass that belonged to my Mother. This piece is pressed glass probably from the 1930's. It has the letters VA with a D across them and FRANCE underneath, impressed into the base of the bowl. Thankyou.

Lalique
(Verreries d'Alsace)
circa 1923 (ref Hartmann)
A picture would be interesting for an early piece like this.

Thankyou so much Frank for the info. :) I did not realise this was an early lalique piece. If I had I would have been rather more careful with its display. However it is not damaged in any way not even scuffed at all so I guess that is good. I would post a photograph of it but I do not know how to do that. Thanks again. Sheila
