I know that these can be very difficult to attribute, but I recently got some pieces at a garage sale of some people that owned a shop many years ago and had a very large quantity of Italian glass pieces for sale. The glass had been stored in boxes for around 30 years or so.... I purchased 8, and have sold most of them, but I kept 4 pieces. I am going to post three of them to see if anyone has any thoughts. I have kept the three as they are exceptionally well executed and in person are a definite grade above the average generic Murano items I see all the time.
This first one is a small bowl measuring around 2 x 3 inches and 1.5 inches tall. Although I have seen a huge quantity of Aventurine bowls, this one really stands out. Any thoughts or ideas are welcome. I know this is a long shot here, but I have been through books and do not really find anything like it....
It has much more of the look and feel of late 40's and early 50's pieces than it does of the later glass.
Flat polished bottom with age appropriate wear that I would say definitely dates it to early mid century

That's a very nice quality little bowl. :) I'm thinking Seguso as I'm sure I've seen a very similar slightly bigger version somewhere. I hope someone has the answers for you!

Seguso has also been my impression because of the execution quality... but that is why I am asking..... I don't really know.
