Well done Connie,
You're right, they are both acorn glasses.
The one on the right is Frank Thrower, 1980 ish.
The one on the left is also English (the only country that ever produced them) and probably 1920 ish.
Now unless you are having a go at them yourself, are they for sale?
If so, email me please.
Patricia

Hearts of Oak and all that - they would HAVE to be English!
Lovely little glasses. I would never have thought of acorns if I had seen them. Thanks so much for the info Patricia.

Hi Patricia -
Thank you so much for the confirmation. Like Lynne, I would never have known what they were without you posting.
I thought they were rooting vases for ivy or a similar plant.
I am downsizing my glass collection so I would be happy for these to find a new home. Please e-mail me - your e-mail link is not visible. I think my little envelope is active ???
-
Connie, I tried to email you 3 different ways but got nowhere.
Where should I send it to?

Connie, I have something similar to these but in bright blue glass and I've been wondering what it was - at first I thought it might be missing a lid an then I thought it might be a bulb vase. Would you mind if I put a piccie of mine on your thread?

Patricia -
If you click on the little envelope under my name on the left side of the page, then it should open a window in your e-mail program. I tested it and it worked for me ??? But in lieu of that e-mail me at
grayhors at nycap.rr.com

Please do post your blue piece. I would love to see it.
