Does the first vase really have straight sides and not a conical shape as your photo suggests? If it's got straight sides, I've got this vase with 'Italy' impressed on the bottom.

hi there the top vase is italian, its sometimes marked italy or i think its pedenza (something like that any way), they are often on ebay listed as Sklo, but i think around 90% is marked with either of the above. The mark is sometimes just on the wall of the welled base

Confirm. Found exact same vase today with FIDENZA and ITALY clearly marked on the base.

??? and
But not really Murano then is it? Would it just be classified as Italian Glass then? Or is Fidenza near Murano? I am not sure. Just wondering...Thanks.
I would have though Sklo Union too, IMHO :-\

When I saw it I made a beeline for it thinking it was Czech, having something similar.
But up turning it I saw the detail above.
I didn't think for a moment it was Murano.
Fidenza is a village 271km inland from Murano. Google map with directions!
