Odd - but certainly Mdina colours.  I'd say earlier rather than later.

A photo of the signature may help with a rough date.

Sorry, just spotted it.

My guess would be 1980's, that signature with the looping M and nice round a is quite familiar.

Just remembered there is an example in Mark Hill's book (top of page 132), I reckon this one is by the same hand. He states "a typical Mdina signature used from 1968 into the 1970s...". Ron Wheeler (Artius glass) knows more about the signatures used, sometimes who did the signing at the factory and roughly when.

I may well have been wrong with my earlier guess...

Yup, late 1970s into the 1980s. Also found in different colours, often sandy browns. Not common, but not rare by any stretch either.
Nice things though, when the light shines through them on a windowsill.
