The fine grain opalescent look of the ashtray looks like something that was done in Murano a lot. I would say that yes, it is Murano, but I don't know who made it.

Thank you for your response.

Hi
I would be 90% certain it dates from around 1955 to 1960 and by Seguso

Hi
Thanks very much for your comments on our webiste, I really appreciate the feedback! With regards to who made your lamps, they could be Barovier and Toso, one of the oldest firms in Venice as they regularly produced pieces in this style but due to its popularity, they may have been made by another firm. Check the bases for etched signatures and also look to see if the polished areas carry any types of scratches or wear as this is always a very accurate indication of the age of a piece. The more wear / scratches, the older the piece

Thank you Dean for the information. The base is made of wood so no showing of ware on the glass. All of the parts of the lamp are old but that doesn't mean much, someone could have put old parts with new glass. Do you think it would be a good idea to take the lamp apart and look for a signature on the bottom of the glass, under the wood? I looked for signatures and don't see any. My gut feeling is that it is an older piece. Would love to put a name to it, I do need to sell them, I have a pair. Thanks again for your help.
