Title: Vivarini IV vase?
Post by: Alton11 on August 18, 2012, 12:11:04 AM
Not much info on google about this company. Thought that someone here may have some info on it or this vase. Signed on bottom
'Vivarini IV', and then dated. Not sure what it is worth, but atleast my cat likes it. Thnx for looking.

Your vase is a battuto piece.  On googling Vivarini appears to have some connections with Formia at first glance.  This may help you search further.
There have been other queries on here regarding battuto vases and I wonder if this might help illuminate the makers of those pieces as well.  Although I guess they were not marked.

I found alot on http://www.formiaglass.it/intro.html . Says Vivarini is part of the Formia Luxury Glass Murano division. Kind of pricey.
Thnx for the direction.
