Title: Large icy textured bowl
Post by: Anne E.B. on April 28, 2009, 09:22:21 AM
Can someone please jog my memory as to who made this bowl   It came with a matching large underplate or platter.
I did have another one long ago and knew what it was, but the brain cells aint what they use to be ;)  I'm thinking may be Iittala or Muurla or....
TIA :)

Thanks Pip ;)  I think it might be a Tauno Wirkkala (brother of Tapio) bowl for Humppila.  There are a couple of bowls on Laatutavara.com with a similar surface texture, although they are a different shape, but it matches the textured pattern of a vase seen there.   I'm not sure, not being able to understand Finnish, but I think it might be called  Revontulet.
