These five glasses are yellow vaseline , marked Webb. I've looked up the signature and they date from c1935-1949.
Just wondering what their use was/is for and I'm thinking they might be pre-war ?
3.5 inches at widest diameter at rim. Height 3 1/4 inches. Thin moulded glass. There is one in the five that has the same engraved pattern ,also vaseline but the pattern of the moulding is different. The one on the left in the pic below is the odd one out and doesn't have the acid etched signature.
Thanks for looking , ta, Mike.

Hello Mike, that mark is for 1934/49 and Webbs are not always marked, they look like wine glasses to me but I'm a 'scotch drinker' so not an expert

Take that back, not wine glasses :-[ to busy looking at the mark and not the glass ::)

Sunshine Amber, yummy yummy. I would say they were small dessert bowls and most likely pre-War

Thanks Keith,
The stem is very short , only 2cm. I thought they might be punch glasses but that is just a wild guess . The foot of the odd one out is thinner and has a prounced rounded bump under the foot where the signature is on the others.
They are from the time when Sven Fogelberg from Sweden (from Kosta Glassworks) was part of Webbs. (this I gleened from my only book on Webbs !) . He introduced new glass-making techniques with the help of glass-makers from Sweden, Holland, Czech., and Germany. ....(from 'Art , Feat and Mystery' by Woodward) . :nk: Mike
Thanks, Lustrousstone.....just got your post whilst writing this....I thought that as well but the glass is very thin and the bowl quite small ,,,wouldn't get much ice-cream in it ;)....sunsine amber is a great name for the colour :sun: ! Ta Mike,

P.S. I think you are right Christine ....I have been told I have portion issues when it comes to ice-cream :nix: <--fat!
