Title: Hello from a chance glass collector!
Post by: cherryt on May 12, 2011, 10:22:24 PM
Hi everyone

Just joined the forum thought I'd say hi!

I collect mainly chance 16 handkerchief vases up to yet lol, 2 are 7" the rest are 4", plus a few plates!  I also love little shot glasses and babycham glasses too!   I collect a lot of other vintage bits and pieces too, if its younger than 25 years I'm not interested  ;D

My next aim is to get some vintage cherry b glasses, cuz they have a cherry design which I love!

Looking forward to chatting to fellow collectors on here, and of course finding out loads of information

tc
Cherry

 :hi:

Hi and welcome - David Encill is currently working on the second book - "Chance Additions" to go with "Chance Expressions". You really do need to get yourself a copy if you're a Chance collector - it's a wonderful book, it should be used as the gold standard to which all glass books aspire!

I do hope you will enjoy yourself here.  :tsk:
I don't collect Chance myself (in the same way I don't collect paperweights or jugs)...... so I've only got a few hundred bits hidden away.  :thud:

My excuse was we were trying to find all the bits needed for Chance Expressions

Hello Pinky1989, Glass may be offered for sale in the Glass Market Place here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/board,4.0.html which is where I moved your earlier post offering swaps. Board policy is for sales and swaps to be restricted to the Market Place forum only.

If you need more help about using the board then we have a lot of useful tips in the Help forum here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/board,22.0.html - have a read through - most questions are answered there, but if there's anything you're not sure of feel free to ask a Moderator directly, or you can ask in Cafe as well. http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/board,9.0.html

Cafe is for any discussions (within reason!) but they do not need to be about glass. Hope this helps.
