So this piece is 5.5x5.5x2.5, LWH Amazing piece. I'm sure though it follows under the same category as my signature but maybe be a good reference for people like me to look this up rather than have to post in this forum about it.

Is the base shiny? Are your dimensions inches? It looks quite small compared with Murano dishes in this sort of form. Is the foil silver or gold? Can we have a straight on top view please

It is shiney. Just scuffed with age. Those are inches and if you click on the photos they should expand but it is gold. Very heavy as well.

The shape and technique is right for Murano glass. It looks like a personal ashtray. It will be hard to pin down the maker. Ashtrays are usually difficult to attribute unless you can find one with a label. Nice cobalt and gold. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a piece in a set made by a quality company.
