.....

I would not know IF that was chance or not ??

Sometimes we luck out by Chance, and sometime by Gee-Golly.....LOL.                   Somebody will know more than me...

Ooooh that's a new one on me Keith! The Chance willow one is blue on white.... no idea if they did a coloured version like that too. David will doubtless know.

Without looking, Keith, it's hard to tell. I very much doubt it, unless Fiesta Glass (post-1981) produced it much later than we expected - but what size is it? There were many slumped glass producers from the 1960s onwards, so it could have been produced by any one of them

Nice for PC and me to meet you again at Big Brum, even if it's gradually becoming 'Small Brum'! Still, I was v.pleased with the antique celery I bought  :)

Thanks David, nice to see you both again, hope the fair is better later in the year. The plate is a little under 10 inches and came in a box I recognised from your book,p.90,tiled,1982-on,the lady in the shop said it came to them in the box but had no labels,so maybe one of the last designs? :o ;D ;D

Sorry I've been a little late in replying Keith, just putting the finishing touches to Patricia's book.

The box looks very much like those used by Fiesta Glass. I'll have to run this by Tony Cartwright and see if he can remember them ever producing such a pattern. If they did it's a very nice find!

Here's Tony's reply.

I have to say that I do not recall ever having seen the plate.  It could have been done as an experimental piece I suppose but I feel sure it is a pottery transfer and am surprised by the strength of the colours.  Sorry I cannot be more helpful in this instance.

So not conclusive. I explain in my book about the difference between transfers used on glass and ceramic.
