Caithness, probably designed by Domhnall Obroin in the mid 1960s. Info from 20th Century British Glass by Charles Hajdamach.

One of Domhnall's favourite designs from 1961. Probably got the idea from his teacher Miroslav Havel, who in turn got the idea from antique Waterford decanters. Named Ring vases.

Thankyou are they scarce?
-
They are not old enough for that to be known.
-
does emer use this forumn?
-
Yup, occasionally, but she wouldn't know rarity.
-
Thanks for the advice ppl.

Im a newbie yet if i dont find it on ebay or google i think wooah ive got rare treasure...until i come here.lol

Reality sucks

Put it like this, it is one of the less common designs because it wasn't easy to make and the workforce wasn't the most skilled at the time (at least I think that's what the book says, as mine's on holiday in Scotland)

Something like that and that contrasting bands are rare... but we don't know how long a 'short' time was and how many they made in that time. Come back in 10 to 20 years and rarity should be clearer.

call me fickle but ive decided to sell or get an idea of interest.
-
Should do well ;)
-
well it would be nice if it did
