A recent acquisition
Sweet pair of doves, joined at the centre, very worn clear plastic label with black print to base which reads Vetreria Fenice Moretti . Murano Pescheria 15. Cannot get a decent photograph of the label as it is circular clear plastic, with very worn black lettering - with the pink stripes showing through.
23 cm long by 14 cm wide and 11 high and weighs 850 gm.
Seller thought they were 1950's, but given the plastic label I wondered if they were in fact more recent than that ? Any information appreciated
regards

Oh Jackie! What a lovely pair of lovebirds... I need the green man smiley!

Hi Jackie the plastic labels were used quite early in Murano .

I think plastic came into the different companies late 1960s or early 1970s. I haven't seen any mentioned for the companies before then.

Thanks Rosie, JP and Anita
Maybe they are 60's/70's then - seller seemed pretty sure they were quite old - I think they were a family piece.

I had a pair very similar 2004/5. Sold and didn't preserve a photo. Mine were blue and signed Moretti to base. I did post on GMB but it was a long time ago and the proxy server won't have the photos anymore.
Lovely in any case.
