Does anyone know the term for this type of glassware?
It's pressed or moulded and we have 2 colour variations..blue with red/purple smokiness or this type that's amber with brown smokiness.
When we bought it years ago a dealer called it Patterson(Paterson) glass.
This is the largest we have at 26cm high.TIA.

:D Hi Steve, This is not my speciality by any manner of means, but I strongly suspect the name is Davidson, and that this is what is known as "Cloud Glass". I am sure other members (Bernard, Gareth...) will correct me if this is cloud glass by any other maker. :D

Thanks Sue.Thats a great help.Lot's of Gurgle references to Davidson's Cloud Glass now I know where to look.
The dealer obviously didn't know his Patterson's from his Davidson's

Steve & Sue — yes, it's a Davidson 10" 279 amber cloud column vase in amber/amethyst. The other two sizes are 8" and 6". Your blue cloud version is blue/amethyst. See http://www.cloudglass.com/Vases.htm and scroll down until you find them.
The rims came out of the mould vertical, and were either slightly flared to make the 279 or turned over to make the 279D, both versions known by the sizes 10", 8" or 6", although the exact measurements obviously vary.

Many thanks for the extensive info, Bernard.
Funny thing about glass, because it's often not marked, it's difficult to find any info on it until you know the correct terms to use!
Or maybe,I just didn't try hard enough
