Hi,
I am really confused again, not unusual for me really  , about these two pieces of glass I bought.
The first is a really wonderful jug that I really like because I think its so clever the way the glass blower has got the blue to go around the brown spodges like an ink line. It measures 16" tall as well.

I think it might be Italian but from where and who made it can someone help me out?
The other one is very dramatic, white inside then a very firey red with black over the top. Its a bottle shape which looks Scandinavian but then it could also be Italian, confused again :(

Any ideas would be most welcome,

I remember seeing a big plain green one like yours on a car boot sale but i just left it.
I accidently stumbled upon the same one on ebey and it sold for about £20-£30.
So i was kicking myself. Which is why I have a lot of bruises down the lower region of my body. :(
It was in the Italian section.
The other one I have seen before someware. I don't think Blenko did that sort of decoration did they? :?

Empoli, both of them (I think)

Hi Ivo,
Many thanks for the information. I don't know what I would do without you :D
I do like the jug, husband hates it with a passion though :( so it wont be staying with us.

They both have that 'Empoli' glass region in Florence (companies like V.B. & S.T.E.L.V.I.A) look about them
The first one looks like V.B.
The second is like a Gulvase gone a bit wrong at the top - I love that red and black mottling
It is still an area being looked into, we know Wayne Husted (Blenko) designed for companies in Empoli - who knows what other designers will come out of the woodwork as time goes on
I'm sure Per Lutken used to holiday in Florence
