Javier, and other Murano fans, I thought you might like to see this - from the Woking Glass Fair today. The seller pointed it out to me and said it was a very rare lamp, signed G Toffolo http://tinypic.com/behf9f.jpg It was certainly magnificent!
There are more pictures of glass from this seller on my album http://photobucket.com/albums/a103/Leni_Simons/Woking%20August%2005/ which you might be interested in seeing :D

What an impressive photoalbum, Leni! I'll have to try to learn how to do that!
Personally, I think the lamp is utterly hideous.
I'm drooling over Adam's landscape vases! I do hope there will be a nice big one left for me at the Cambridge Glass Fair. (Sept 18th, Chilford Hall, Linton.)

I hope there will be....fortunately they are selling as fast as I can make them, but I do feel that the more I make the better they get, which from my point of view is important, since if I felt they weren't getting better I'd probably stop making them, and I love making them!
:D I made some super ones last week, but I haven't had a chance to photograph any yet....really need Leni to come over and shoot them all! :)

signed G Toffolo
Are you sure it is G not F Toffolo.
For a windowfull of such pieces by Franco Toffolo go to Yetserday's Today in Perth Scotland. Freshly made. While he has retired, he still works out of John Deacon's workshop in Crieff.

I know nothing of this person / these people! :?
I just repeated what was told me, Guv!

Could well be G toffolo as Giacomo was senior glassblower at Venini in the 1930's and I had one of his figures a few years back that was signed.

Perhaps someone in Scotland can check with Franco if they are related. He was already a Maestro when he moved to UK (Blackpool first, I believe)
