on the foot of a large crystal wine glass, you'd swear it was a Riedel but for the mark.
Anyone?
-
I have seen this mark before, i think it was on a piece myrked Bierkristal, i know the trodelmarkt where the piece is, i will go take a look today. 8)

Dartington.
honest!
-
:spls:....maybe
-
Funny. I thought Bartington at once. It has this Barrtington feel....
-
:-[ sorry. leaping before looking. :-[
I have mistaken the Dartington mark for a B, several times, I've seen variations on it, and they do do quality stemware.
What does the glass itself look like?
-
large (holds half a bottle) crystal wine glass in the style of Riedel, stem bowl and foot made seperately. Sounds like Christmas when tapped :mus: and has impeccable quality. Will not burn your lips like ordinary glasses do....
-
Joking apart it is similar to BLOCH/LANOOY mark for Leerdam.see glass fact file a/z Ivo Haanstra .JP
-
Lucienne Bloch only ever did frosted kittens and suchlike, and Lanooy never made wine glasses as a matter of principle. Leerdam marks were designed around the letter L and would not be found on a modern piece of quality tableware. Nice try, but sorry no cigar.

B with three stars........ Could it be Bohemia Podebrady????
Regards,
Marcus

Marcus that must be it! The paper label <B with three stars> is depicted in Langhamer and there is an integrated version as well; no etch or sand mark looking like Bartington though. They must have adopted a new version - to stand proud next to the real Riedel products.
