Riihimaen vase in pewter/blue - sold as 'Kehra' by Tamara Aladin - just to post and check as I am still a bit unfamiliar - feels good

Yes, the vases come in two sizes plus there are matching candlesticks. One of the first bits of glass I ever bought at a bootsale, I was convinced it was Whitefriars and Geoffrey Baxter....
Link shows vase and candlestick (I assume that is what they are): http://starkeld.com/prod_img/normal/5067%20Kera%201.jpg

I thought mine was WF's when I got it many years ago ;D
-
When I first started collecting I used to think these and similar vases were Dartington!
-
Thanks to adam for sharing this information! :) I'll add there are actually THREE sizes 20/25/30 cm !
-
Don't think I have ever seen the tallest, anyone got a photo of two or even all three of them?
John

John, your suspicion is well reasoned. I have also rarely seen the largest and would also love to see a picture with all sizes altogether.
Here's the only one I found now

- do you see any difference in the proportions? In my eyes the bottom part may be a little longer than in the 25cm tall.

Just to add - posted pic is 25cm tall. So I guess that is the medium height.

Thanks Adam, so yes medium.
Suspicion no, curiosity yes PX. ;D
Laatutavara have a couple at 20 and 25cm tall and the 'candlesticks' I now see are vases are 10cm tall: http://www.laatutavara.com/eng/index.php?page=search&hakuteksti=Kehr%E4&Submit=Find
I think you are right about proportions in the 30cm example you linked to and I am also inclined to trust the various measurements given. :sun:
It is of course possible I have seen the larger version before but never realised, given I thought there were only two sizes.

I have this rather poor picture of 3 sizes, but I have an even larger one in clear glass too.
( I'm away at the moment, so can't measure or re-photograph mine)
-
Thanks Robert, I can't remember seeing any of the sizes in that amethyst colour before. I usually see them in olive green, the same blue as in your photo, a dark cinnamon brown colour and in clear.
-
John, I would agree with you, those are the usual colours of the taller vases.
But I would add a uranium yellow in the smallest size as well as the amethyst but in a lighter seethrough shade.
-
Yes, I'd agree too.
Never seen the vases, only the candle holders, in amethyst and uranium.
