Post by: wesalviebee on August 21, 2011, 11:43:25 PM
Hello...new to this board...& am looking for an ID of this millefiori paperweight. I'm thinking Chinese 30's-40's, but I still know basically nada.  :ho:

Hi, "wes", welcome to the Board.

I have plit off your post from the thread you attched it to, otherwise things get confusing. You just need to click the "New Post" tab rather than make a reply to an existing message.

Yes, the weight is Chinese and the yellowed dome, as well as the look of the canes and how they are set, would put it in a period of 1930s-40s as you suggest. It's a good example of that type. Some were signed with a "Made in China" or just "China" cane.
