Anybody know who produced this menacing hobnail vase or bowl?
Thanks,
Charles.

Hi Charles, could I ask you to keep your images a little smaller please- some users with older systems or who are on dial up connections have problems with larger ones, and large sizes can also cause problems for the board in terms of excessive use of bandwidth (which has meant the board to be unavailable at times). I've converted the images to links for now. If you wish to insert thumbnails with links to the larger ones please feel free to do so. Thank you. :)

BTW if you use GlassGallery rather than Tinypic for your images it creates both large images and thumbnails for you to make it easy to do small image links.

Hi Charles,

I don't have a reference for this but it's usually ascribed to Nuutajärvi, designer Saara Hopea. Also produced in green, turquoise, clear, blue, possibly other colours as well. I think different sizes too.

It may be in "Saara Hopea, Life and Work", but I don't have access to a copy.

Edit: There are clear examples listed in this Japanese webshop (right at the bottom)

They were made between 1952-1976.
