This paperweight is about 3in high and sits on a base. Any clue as to who may have made it?

?? ?? ??
Kinda reminds me of GES (Glassy Eye Studio)......did they bases, I am not sure?
Is this kinda similar....................or not??

I think this is Mdina - did they make footed weights early on? There are Michael Harris footed Isle of Wight paperweights.

I have never seen a Mdina weight with a foot. The colours are not quite Mdina either to my eye. Sorry, nothing constructive to add.

Looks like an early Isle of Wight by Michael Harris to me. He often signed the base, but not always. Is there any enscription on the base, Anthony?
Hopefully Ron of Artius Glass will see this thread and sort this out for us.

Hi all - thanks for your comments. It had crossed my mind it might be Mdina. There is nothing on the base. Will check with Ron Wheeler and report back...

Reporting back as promised...
The good news is that it is a Michael Harris piece. Apparently he brought with him from Mdina a good stock of ingredients, hence the colour, and this piece was made in the early days at IOW.
The bad news is that it has a diagonal stress fracture and is only being held together by its base.
So there we have it. Mdina colours. IOW product. Made by Michael Harris. On its last legs. Hoorah!

sorry about the crack - a very sweet piece :)
