Here's a very nice Burmese glass vase I purchased recently at a flea market.

I have a few pieces of Burmese, from Victorian ones by Webb to recent ones by Fenton. This one has me slightly stumped. I have not encountered this ribbed shape before. Is it Webb or could it be Mt. Washington? I know that they did some ribbed items such as cruets in Burmese.
I know it isn't Fenton as I have the book on Fenton Burmese & they didn't make anything like this vase.
It glows strongly under u.v, & the colour is comparable to other pieces by Webb that I have, but the shape leaves me a little uncertain.
The only piece I have seen illustrated that is similar in shape is in Skelcher's "Big Book of Vaseline Glass".
He states that he was told by a former Stevens & Williams employee that it was an example of their "Rose Du Barry", allegedly a poor imitation of Webb Burmese (although I actually thought that this colour was a kind of pink opaline?). The pieces shown have the same ribbed moulding as my vase but the colour is weaker....I don't know if this is due to the photographic reproduction....mine is definitely a true Burmese colouration.
Any ideas? :)
