Glass Market Place / Timberlake's book on Nazeing Glass
« Last post by Angela B on Today at 05:11:18 AM »
Does anyone have a copy of Geoff Timberlake's book on Nazeing Glasss that they would sell to me?
Also, I'm trying to get a copy of Nigel Benson's 32 page booklet on Nazeing Glass.

I have admired their work, (and own a few bits) for a long time now.
Recently, Flying-Free posted a lovely link to their archives, showing off some glorious stuff I was unaware of. It got a few of us dribbling.
It seems appropriate to add it. Just to rub in what we've lost.
I do hope the workers can find good employment.

It's tragic when artists are forced to stop working their magic because of ridiculous circumstances beyond their control.

I remember identifying this vase 20 years ago and I thought it was Mathew Turnbull but Im unable to find any sort of evidence for that now. No makers or registration mark.
Can anyone jog my brain cells and come up with the maker
Many thanks

Quite a similar shape "R" To the one used on Rosenthal manufactured products but not been able to find a
single "R" marking as yet.

Glass News / Sanders & Wallace Glass Closure

Sad to also hear that Sanders & Wallace based in North Yorkshire have also recently announced their closure and have just turned off the furnace for the last time, due to the cost of gas.

A studio that produced some lovely pieces over the years.

Glass / Heavy glass cut vase Signed on the Base ???
« Last post by LEGSY on October 01, 2023, 11:18:56 AM »
I wondered if anyone has seen this mark on the base before?
It is a very heavy glass nearly 850g in weight not a lot of wear
from use or movement so would think it might be quite modern.
6" in height.

aaah, not if it's filled then removed by customer :)

Complete waste of space for storing glasses though.

Not sure the designer thought this one through, all very well filling the one glass but when you rotate the ships wheel for the next glass the first will start emptying...

Great marriage though, bordering on the genius of Heath Robinson.
