Hi,

I wonder if it is a double lick, a penny one the smaller end and a twopenny one the larger end.

Just a thought,

Barbara

Looks a bit deep for a penny lick! Glass is too good for an insulator so.. . .

Hi JC,

I think penny-licks were used to hold a serving of ice cream before the edible cornet made of wafer/biscuit became the norm. You'd pay your penny and get one 'licks' worth of ice cream in exchange.  :D  :D  :D
