Cast crystal with leaf motif and a hole for hanging it. Which would be OK if it weren't for the weight: it is 1,8 kilos (4lbs) and has a diameter of 25 cms (10 feet for the metrically challenged).
I looked at the "Party" range by Wärff for Kosta and it has similarities; as do the "Ulla" items from Engmann. But it is not.
So now the question is
- Lindshammar?
- Holmegaard?
-
I don't think Holmegaard, as they produced very little black glass and little in the way of cast glass, and there were a few smaller glass companies in Denmark in the 70s producing large glass wall plaques, although they were usually hand-pressed - as with Holmegaard's suncatchers - rather than cast.

Actually 10 inches Ivo - if it was 10 feet it'd be a real shocker! :o

I'm almost tempted to quip something about "plate of meat" but it is too hot.
-
I was trying to imagine the size of the pizza it would hold Ivo!!! ;D (It's a scorcher here again too - and humid as well!)

Funnily enough I was just going to post a question on something very similar. I have a plate /suncatcher like this but different pattern on it and it still has the label Humppila. Finland. I was hoping for more info, all I know so far is that it is linked to Iittala. This measures 12 inches across and weighs 1355grams. Sue.

designed by Kaija Aarikka (1929-) in 1973 and produced until 1987, if I interpret the data right. I have an almost identical one with wheat on it, poetically entitled "an armful of hay" - so your grassy plate (is that Brisa Media?) would be from the same series.
-
Ivo, no writing on it at all, all I have is the label. Sue

That's right.
