can anyone help with the ID and possible valuation with this thrift store find? It has a K/B label on its base but I'm assuming thats a import label. Looks like a pear or onion or flower bud ??????--Maybe Murano??
Thanks for all the help--My pics were too big--finally got it fixed--Ken

;D
It looks like a fig or a bulb of garlic!
An image of the label and of the base would be helpful, if you would be so kind?
As to valuation - that's not something we tend to deal with here.
Valuations are subjective, they depend on where, when, why, how, and who is there in whatever sort of sale it is.

The label may be a US import label, something like the Kucheroff Brothers. I can't quite remember the correct name and nor can I locate an example of the label. The company imported a variety of Murano factories' glass, some more tourist glass and some good quality. I wouldn't say that this was at the high end, but I'm no paperweight expert.
I'd have to see the label to say for certain. It should be a quartered shield with the K in the upper left quadrant and the B in the lower right.

KB is the Koscherak Brothers Import Co. of New York. The pw is Fratelli Toso for KB. It is probably from the late 1960-early 1970s.
