Pukeberg was my immediate reaction but I can't anything to back me up in that. Is it cast, and, as I seem to lack the imagination needed to make them out, what are the designs on it?

Walther most probably. There are umpteen variations on the theme.

Hi Sue, I was intrigued to see your photo of this solifleur vase as I have one very similar, with no label, though mine is slightly smaller, more like 4.5” by 4.5”.

Mine was sold to me as “made by either Pukeberg or Skruf Glass” but I don’t think it is, mind you I am not an expert!  I have a collection of 3 different height rectangular solifleur vases by Ingrid Glass (2 of which are labelled IG Ingridglaeser Blockkristall Zweigvase)) which have an identical type of pattern, the colour of the glass matches, in fact I have them all on display together as they go together perfectly.

I also have a number of solifleur vases by Walther but this one does not “match” and looks out of place when they are put together.

I know this isn’t the positive identification you are looking for.  I will be watching this post to see if anyone can confirm the maker.

The one that Ivo has shown is the same as one I've sold in the past also by Walther - is the pattern on ours the same as the one at the top of the thread, I can't make it out?

Thanks for the suggestions, someone else has it at the moment, so as soon as I get it back I will take another photo. What is the best background for taking a photo of patterned clear glass, with a poor  (2.1MP) camera? thanks, Sue

Sorry PIP also meant to say, no definitely not the same pattern, more like swirling leaves. Sue. the person who has it at the moment wants it and have offered me £4 but I think it is worth more so will be getting it back soon.

sorry, Ivo, that was a misunderstanding.
should have written ´was´ in euskirchen
and -perhaps- ´some other glassworks´
labels´ to the gallery...
