Hi there and Welcome  :rah:

I have a question for you.  I was always told that these types of items were called HOUZE GLASS SOUVENIRS.  Is this Correct?  Thanks

Welcome houzeglass, I've reorganised your posts a little to fit how the board works. The two replies just mentioning the houze site have been removed as they duplicate content here and that can cause confusion, but I've added another permanent copy of your post above in our reference websites forum so that people will know where to find your website. We have a fair number of topics which might be houze glass so your input is extremely welcome. If you need any help using the board please just ask. :)

the other glass items you showed me are houze art also. they took artist drawings and put on glass. they did peter max on glass too. 1962 they glass trays from max were done at houze factory. my uncle roger houze started the houze art department in 1948. he came up with the idea at first they hand painted the trays and bent them, then demand was so high he came up with silk screening them.. thanks jrh

Interesting they were originally hand-painted - very time-consuming for large volume manufacture. But did Houze ever use transfers? I actually show the Lunar Landing plate in my book, Chance Expressions, to demonstrate the difference between Chance items. Also see www.chanceglass.net
