Title: Any ideas on this moulded decanter please?
Post by: Quackers on March 29, 2007, 06:36:33 PM
One of a mixed lot last week, this feels very cheap - probably brand new as well :)

The rest of the lot was 1970's glass so this one does seem a bit odd and out of place.  No marks at all, 2 part mould, the stopper is a loose fit with no ground fitting (it makes a nasty chinking noise every time I move it >:D).  Any ideas of age or maker? Or shall I recycle it?!

Thanks.

I was thinking Indiana Diamond Point (1970s), but it's not.

Thanks Cathy.  I can certainly see the resemblance but the Indiana one looks much nicer than mine ::) especially in the flashed version.

I'd say Cristal D'Arques.

Thank you Steven - it is the Longchamp 0.75L decanter in their current range.  A useful website they have compared to some manufacturers  www.cristal-arques.com

Thanks again.
