I saw a group of glass for sale and amongst it was a Selkirk duck. I like Selkirk so I placed a bid and won the group.
When it arrived I was well pleased, a signed, dated and labelled gold leaf and black, small size Selkirk duck well worth the money.
The other bird was a total surprise....a Tasmanian Glassblowers Yellow Throated Honey Eater, labelled and signed by James Dodson!!
So here are some pictures of it including the label and signature.
If you want to put it in the signatures collection Anne, you are welcome.

he's lovely rosie....blown a bit off course tho!

He makes a lovely owl & his frogs are really cool as well. Personally I do not like him - far too full of himself.

Hi Ross,
I like the owl. The bird was a real surprise, I only paid £5 for both that and the Selkirk duck, so I think I got a bargain!!
My collection of Antipodean Glass is growing, along with my other pieces... I sell one and buy two!
-
That's a lovely bird Rosie. Well done!
-
Thanks Nancy, I think it was luck, and I am very happy. ;)

Hi Rosie
I to have one still boxed they are lovely birds.
-
That is wonderful to have the box Trebor... Did it come with a leaflet of the others in the set?
Look how delicate the beak is... amazing, I really love mine, especially as it was bought as a side line to the Selkirk Duck!!
I notice you have them as James Dobson....I think it might be Dodson, but I can't read the writing on the box very well.
-
Yes it is Dodson and on the bottom of my bird is ADFAS, launcston , I have a few birds but not sure who by. I will have to dig them out,
-
ADFAS is Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Society Trebor, the Launceston is apparently Australian, not the one in UK.
Please dig the others out... I would love to see them all... I might be able to help identify them but even if not, I would still like to see them!!
