Title: Hovmantorp - Sweden
Post by: stevetheb on January 16, 2007, 10:19:34 PM
Whilst not being in the same class as Bryn's Jumble Sale finds, I picked up a few of these umm ???? what would you call them?  anyway most were by Mats Jonasson and I know someone who will move them on for me... But this one interests me a little...and whilst I can find out that Hovmanthorp is a big glass making area I haven't yet found out anything about this piece. Can anyone point me in a direction of some more info? or give me a date on this one...? It is labelled to the front and is signed on the bottom with I think Hovmanthorp Sweden again.

Many thanks

Steve

Try Sandvik glasshouse, Hovmantorp, who merged with Orrefos in 1918.

It's magic! You can rent a little cabin, with just sleepingplaces and a tiny kitchen, little veranda and sitting area for next to nothing. Showering and clotheswashing facilities are shared, but when on holiday, who cares?
Hovmantorp is on the outer edge of the Kingdom of Glass buit everything is within reach. (  I sound like a travel brochure, sorry!)
