Three Intaglio cut platters...........but the Ruby "glass" is actually glass paint flaking off here and there. 12": 10": and 8":
Any ideas and are they "interesting? Or rubbish?

We've had one of these on the board before Emmi - I think it was Max who found it - bur I can't find the earlier discussion. Perhaps Max or David will remember it...

I can't find the thread either Anne. I did have one of these trays...I think I might have given it to David, although I'm not sure. I'm pretty certain we decided they weren't Chance as the quality wasn't good enough and the red colour wasn't well applied...plus it's a slightly lighter red shade. Hopefully David will pop along and confirm that. :)

I have/had two and I've since seen them elsewhere. No chance I think
-
These are a much more orangey colour than Chance's ruby.

As Max and Christine say, not a Chance, sorry! Definitely painted on and the standard of cutting is rather poor. Max did pass hers onto me and it's scheduled for the next book.

That's OK and thanks for all your comments. It was pouring with rain and I was soaked to the skin when I saw them, I grabbed, paid and came home. Only then did I see the "paint". Still cheap enough for the experience ........and there are no chips or cracks at least!!! :sun: And yes, the cutting is fairly shallow compared to the real thing.
