Title: Etched Glass Sugar Castor w/Sterling Lid
Post by: lenore on May 30, 2005, 03:27:21 PM
Hi Again,
Here we go again... Any info on this sugar shaker w/what looks like a needle etched design. The sterling lid has the English passant and the townmaker symbol from Chester and is from the early 1900's. Many thanks for your help!

It is the silver hallmark that fixes the date and location on so many combined glass & silver  pieces that you'd think you have been posting an answer rather than a question.  ;) ;)

Hi Ivo,
Thanks for looking! While the sterling lid hallmark indicates it is from England, the glass shaker itself may not be. So, I am trying to ascertain a country of origin and the possible glass maker. Thanks again! :P
