Title: Czech Bowl But Which Maker?
Post by: adam20 on July 28, 2012, 01:21:00 PM
Just bought a bowl in purples blues and reds - subtle hues - sure it Czech and wondered if someone can confirm a factory - I have had a look at some Chribska sites and the colour is similar but more subtle and I can't find the exact shape.

Thanks Adam P

Adam,

I'd agree with the attribution on Flickr. The owner of the piece is reliable. It looks to me like a Jan Beranek piece from the late 50's, sometimes called the Red Core series.  When Michael gets back from the flea market or Anik finishes her car trip,  I hope one of them will confirm.  The colours in it are magnificent.  Here's a vase from the series.

Thanks David. My bowl has same colour configuration as your vase. What you can't see too well in my photos is the green sommerso like colour in core.

Thanks Adam
