This vase is 6cm tall and just under 8.5 cm wide. The body is quite thick but the rim much thinner and a little off-centre and very slightly wonky in one spot. It looks like silver chloride and is coloured orange, brown and white. There are tool marks to the top of the rim. These photos are taken with flash and unnatural light , will do one in sunlight when the sun come out . There is a small broken-off pontil mark to the base as well as some age scratching (base).
Any thoughts would be fine and dandy ;) Ta very much for looking !

It looks like Alum Bay glass to me
Lovely shape and colours.

I'd agree with that......... the indented base and remains of snapped pontil are consistent with that factory. Here is a similar one in blue.

Thanks M and Paul !
That was quick ! Sorted ! Thanks very much indeed !!
Cheers, Mike . ;)

I'll "third" the Alum Bay id!
;D

Thanks Sue,
Here it is in natural light (for the record), when I saw it , my first thoughts were Strathearn. I was thrown by the broken-off pontil though ! :)

that's a really nice example imho
great colours and decor and also great shape (not Alum Bay's strongest point I don't think - I like many of their colours but their shapes are too traditional for me)
