Hi all,
Today whilst surfing on the net, I found a vase nearly identical to this one, only without the gold.
(http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/albums/userpics/10026/thumb_copier.jpg) (http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-1337) Not signed. 22cm in height. (click to enlarge)
It was attributed to Leerdam, designed by A. D. Copier, from the H collection 1940.
My question is;
Could this also be from the same range, maker & designer?
TIA

I don't think so. You may have figured out by now that the majority of Copier attributions on the web is erroneous. The H-collection (H=Household) is simple and anonymous design from the 1930s; the smoke coloured spill vase is most likely German.

Hi Ivo,
Thanks.
I really didin't know what the H meant. Dutch glass isn't something I collect. I have noticed that almost anything glass for sale in Holland, if not signed, is attributed to Copier etc.
The one I have was a 10 cent rommelmarkt buy.

Have to agree with Ivo.
Certainly not H-collection, and unlikely to be Dutch.
I HAVE however tried to help the general lack of information about Dutch glass, by building a little website....not really ready for rigorous inspection, but...
Please feel free to surf over and browse my ramblings...

What a really great website, I am impressed. It is now added to my favourites.
Thanks. :lol: :lol:
