Title: Mauve spirally vase with makers mark - ID = Guernsey Island Studio Glass
Post by: yesvil on October 14, 2012, 03:24:49 PM: After a couple of rubbish offerings on here I thought I would try to find something a little more interesting!

Its a spiral of mauves, greens, blue and browns standing about 6/7 cm. With a nice and unreadable raised mark which I think I can make out KKK ???

Anyone?

Having looked through the offerings on ebay It certainly looks that way. Its a shape I've now committed to memory - hopefully!

Post by: Lustrousstone on October 15, 2012, 06:24:16 PM: Apart from those that don't have this style of rim, as a search of ebay soon reveals. I think it's safer to say this style of rim is generally indicative of Guernsey glass rather a blanket

However, provided we have a base impression of three lions AND a daisy-flower shaped rim, then we should be o.k. with saying it's Guernsey. thanks Christine :)
